Leuku colors and history

Leuku name comes from the lapp-knife of photographer Pekka Antikainen

Leuku opening exhibition and netpages were introduced in May 1999 at Rovaniemi Arktikum Museum
Shareholders and founders were these seven well-known finnish photographers:

Jaakko Alatalo - Muonio
Pekka Antikainen - Inari
Eero Kemilä - Vaala
Arto Liiti - Rovaniemi
Jorma Luhta - Haukipudas
Sakke Nenye - Lahti
Veikko Vasama - Rovaniemi

Now we are currently over twenty and our images cover vast range of subjects all over the world

Some Leuku principles

  - Our archives are like photograpy art gallery
  - Every image has a caption telling nicely who, what, where, when
  - We have carefullu eliminated all the dust, scratches and cell-spots
  - The horizon and perspective of images are in control
  - The colors and tones ar "correct" - a client can of course alter them as needed
  - High quality big print files are ready to be downloaded from our server
  - The quality of the screen images are also very high and screenfiles are ready to use for layout

  - Pricing is clear and downloading simple

Web development of Leuku -site relies on open source free software - Javascript, Ajax, PHP and MYSQL
Small images are made with SoftColor Toolbox
Leuku site is not bound to any available free or commercial program
